Visit Buena Park’s mission is to become a recognized travel destination and increase visitors and overnight hotel stays to economically impact the City of Buena Park. The vision is to be known as a fun, affordable destination that is minutes from and home to Southern California’s most popular attractions.
Who You Are
Eager and enthusiastic student interested in learning more about the tour and travel industry. You have the ability to demonstrate creativity, initiative, and self-motivation; communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; understand and follow instructions; establish and maintain effective working relationships with patrons, co-workers, supervisors, management and others encountered in the course of work.
Responsibilities
Gain real life work experience by honing and developing your writing skills, researching and crafting creative social media content, collecting and analyzing data, networking with industry leaders, inventory check, filing, vetting phone calls, fulfillment of collateral and sales/media kits and coordinate industry trade shows, media trips and familiarization tours.
Qualifications Must have knowledge of office administration practices and procedures, correct English usage, including spelling, grammar and punctuation; willingness to learn new marketing procedures, effective decision-making, problem solving, time management, and organizational skills.
(1) internship is available. Flexible schedule - minimum 4 hours a week required for 12 weeks.
