The family-owned business still uses many of the original recipes that they brought with them from Cuba in 1963. The Cuban sandwiches, meticulously layered with ham, roast pork, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard, transport patrons right to Cuba. In 2022, L.A. Times went on to name Porto's Bakery, Buena Park the best bakery in Orange County.
